FISHING REPORT
Wednesday August 18, 2010
The temps have cooled quite a bit so far this week, the water temps have come down a little bit. That has helped the fishing. A few Walleye reports have come in. Leech Lake and Woman Lake have picked up the past few days. It has been a nightcrawler or Redtail bite. Bass and Northerns are still going strong, spinnerbaits cast over the cabbage beds, frogs thrown on the pads and weeds, or plastic worms finese fished on the breaks and weed edges are the ticket for Bass. Northerns are also hanging out in the cabbage beds but alos can be found in deeper water close to the bottom. A live bait rig with a Redtail or Sucker Minnow is a good way to target these fish.
